In the 2010 calendar, there will be a mixed tilt.
There are 6,5 million Euros
The Master Series of Madrid in his calendar 2010 , will bring together the best rackets of the masculine and feminine circuit in the Spanish capital in May, in order to have a mixed tennis tilti. The appointment, which will join 112 players, 56 men and 56 women, and will give the winner the amount of 6,5 million Euros, will be disputed on well-trodden land and will be like a Roland Garros anticipation.
In March, the permission for a feminine tilt in Madrid was ratified by the WTA, being a possibility of a mixed tilt on well-trodden land and being categorized in one of the four headquarters of this style of tilts. In others words, the ATP has allowed the authorization of a license to the organizers of the Masters Series of Madrid to organize a mixed tilt of the maximum level in both circuits. With this new disposition of the 2010 calendar, Madrid is placed in the elite of the tennis, without bearing in mind four Grand Slam's tilts.
